I respect the honesty and transparency - i wish we had more indie devs like you. Considering the game itself was pretty enjoyable, I'll be sure to stay updated with your upcoming games. Take care!

it actually was pretty scary, though not surprising considering the heavy influence of Puppet Combo over this game. What I was shocked with was how nice the camera and retro 3rd person tank controls were!

But next time - do not, and I repeat, DO NOT use AI to voice and or write anything. It essentially took a dump on what was otherwise pretty spooky stuff. Also, there seems to be a bug where the chase music ends prematurely. It just cuts off even though he's still chasing you.

Giving it a solid 3.5/5 stars because of the issues weighing down the game.

And that's exactly what makes games well known and loved!  Making it polarizing instead of middle of the road. So good for you!

It was haunting at first, but quickly became tedious and monotonous due to constant new encounters killing me without any forewarning of how to combat them. Normally that would be fine, but without any saves and it not being placed early on at the start, it just gets annoying because I am forced to restart multiple times. It sucks because I really enjoyed the art style, survival elements, and the creepiness of it, but its just not worth all that hassle. Especially when it comes to horror, constantly resetting and redoing the same things completely sucks any fear or tension out of you.

Addendum: I mean this with the utmost respect. Please know that this is still a beautiful looking game with great sounds, easy controls, fun gameplay, and creepy elements. I'm just posting my critique of why these things are overshadowed for me.

i wanted to be. but you can't always get what you want i guess.

really well done! the game itself was a bit simple, puzzles were quick to solve and required little thought, and the story didn't have too many elements to it. However, the game exceeded in miles through its presentation, ingenuity, and an understanding of pacing. the environments were well crafted too - had lots of fun with this. thanks for making this game (it was nice having something to relate to here.)

I actually had a lot of fun, you have made one hell of a game... The amount of times i laughed playing this was enumerable, hilarious game. You must be memeing this game, right? Hilarious stuff. Thanks for the game.

very nicely paced, interesting starting sequence to get the player instantly engaged. i love how that subtle horror was delivered, this game did a good job of building tension. Some scares you could totally just bypass on a first run, i love how you have the choice to investigate or not. the only thing i have to suggest is that weird lighting (turbulence?) sort of effect in the pixel textures, it feels a bit out of place, at least for me. Other than that, that was really fun! there's not a lot of games i stay quiet during.

there's criticism and then there's bitching. if you don't like the game and want to suggest feedback, that's fine, but do it in a respectable way otherwise you should really not expect anyone to take you seriously. there's a reason there's a disparaging gap between up and downvotes. also space owl isn't the dev of this game lol.
